#1 Stratix Switch LED Status Indicators
Our most viewed post in 2018 was a Tech Files article about what the LED status indicators mean on Stratix industrial Ethernet switches. This one came from our own need to troubleshoot a switch on demo wall.
#2 Reset a PanelView Plus 6 to Factory Default
Our second most viewed post in 2018 was about resetting a PanelView Plus 6 graphic terminal to factory reset. Sometimes you just need to reset and start all over. Our post gave the steps to perform the reset.
#3 CCW 11 Feature Pack Released
In July, Rockwell Automation released what they called a “Feature Pack” for the Connected Components Workbench (CCW) version 11 software. The Feature Pack introduced some new features for long time MicroLogix and SLC-500 users feel at home, as well as better migration between RSLogix applications and Micro800 CCW applications.
#4 PanelView Plus Fatal Error 3B
In another Tech Files post, we looked at what became a routine call during 2018, a Fatal 3B error on a PanelView Plus. The issue is a result of older firmware in the logic module not being compatible with the newer LED back light display modules. The solution is a firmware update.
#5 Stop Hand Icon Displays on PanelView Plus Terminal
Similar to the Fatal Error 3B, the now infamous “finger” that shows up on the PanelView Plus screen was another common tech support call throughout 2018. This is the same issue involving the firmware incompatibility with the newer LED backlight display modules.
